The Muddies assumed squatter rights to NOD after the previous residents
had left. The Muddies never claimed ownership, and were quick to tell
others that it's "not our dock". The acronym, NOD, soon took hold.
NOD was the site of many Muddy parties. We'd put on some music and
dance until NOD rocked to the beat. Many nights were spent asleep
on NOD under the stars.
NOD was the location for the first Redwood City CyberCruise. The
CyberCruisers would return for several years, the tranquility of
the sloughs drawing them into the mud.
Note:NOD was lost after idiots cut one of the mooring lines.
NOD was eventually salvaged and still lives in the slough. (2002)
